Reiji Yashiro — owner of the yakiniku restaurant Yashiro-ya on a downtown shopping street — is one of the warmest, funniest, yet most indispensable figures in the worlds of NAjNA and LUNAR EXIT.A carefree optimist who values pride but never pretension, his life philosophy is simple: music, laughter, friends, and the smoke rising from good yakiniku — that’s all life needs. His bass skills may be “a little below average,” but beneath his clumsy technique lies a sound filled with joy and a rare power to make people smile.

As the bassist and self-proclaimed “boss” of the band Three Little Devils and the Future Old Man, Yashiro turns every live show into a chaotic, unpredictable party. His most infamous legend is the “Naked Park Arrest Incident” — a ridiculous episode that, by pure coincidence, prevented his friend Nobuo from heading to Tokyo Blues that day, indirectly triggering the fateful encounter between Luna and Maya.Because of that, Yashiro is sometimes called “the accidental father of LUNAR EXIT.” His random antics unknowingly set the stage for a legendary band’s birth.

Deep in his heart, however, lies a quiet, unspoken affection — for Sara Kamishiro, the vocalist of NAjNA. He sees her as an untouchable goddess, drawn to her mysterious aura but too respectful to ever approach her directly. That shy reverence reveals his pure-hearted kindness and the depth of his empathy.

His lifelong friend Nobuo Kiritani has been his partner-in-crime since childhood — their bond forged through endless chaos, from collapsing shopping-street signs to mishaps at summer festivals. Nobuo often ends up cleaning up Yashiro’s messes, yet he never truly minds. Even his obsessive love of grilling (“I once cooked ten years’ worth of yakiniku just for Nobuo”) is another form of his awkward yet genuine affection.
